What do you wanna make those eyes at me for

I remember one day in 1977 when, at work, Kath accused us of treating her like part of the furniture. I quickly replied " no Kath you are not part of the furniture you are more like a priceless antique". I suddenly realised that my quick response had not turned out to be the compliment I had planned. The silence was broken when Kath laughed. She was the main reason why life at the Halifax in the 70's was so pleasurable. Wonderful to work with and for. Such happy memories of that era. I seem to remember her telling me her favourite song as a teenager was "what do you wanna make those eyes at me for" by Emile Ford. A song that always reminds me of her . She was truly a wonderful person loved by everyone.
